On the airplane back from Venice, compulsively read Jonathan Lehmen's Fortress of Solitude. Made it through most of it. Finished it up once I got home. This plus watched Shrek 2 and half of Starsky and Hutch and read a whole series of free newspapers and news magazines. Long flight. Started leaving Jen's apartment in Venice at 3 am. Then Venice to Frankfurt. Frankfurt to Boston (5 hour lay over). Then to Chicago. Then finally to SFO at midnight. Nothing like a novel to help one get through it.
