Also, last week, Afflicted Powers: Capital and Spectacle in a New Age of War by Retort group. Good quick read. Puts into very clear prose all those arguments that you feel but haven't had time to spit out right. Made me wonder if people write clearer in groups. The questioning of the blood for oil argument in the chapter of the same name is the strongest and most important (it goes very clearly over the argument that the war with Iraq is not for oil, war disrupts oil extraction after all, but is to feed the US need to sell arms). The last chapter, the solution chapter perhaps, on public space and chosing not to be modern feels the weakest.
