Rereading for class lately...
M. Nourbese Philip's Zong!, which I love for how it violates so many rules of the historical so well. With Katie Degentesh's The Anger Scale.
And also Ben Friedlander's Simulcast. Felt nostalgia for DIU. And many other things. This book is holding up so well. Feeling as if I totally underestimated it or haven't paid enough attention to it. Liked the talk about the reception of the book and his own complicated emotional life in writing it in the introduction. Also the attention to the early days of internet. At same time, remembering Friedlander as one of the first people who I heard apply the word "conceptual" to poetry.
For fun: Introduction to the California Chaparral.
